Attorney​​

Attorney Jaidee Serrano joins our firm after years of federal trial advocacy. She graduated from the Inter American School of Law in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and passed the Puerto Rico Bar essay portion in the top ten percentile. She immediately pursued a Masters Degree (Ll.M) in Federal Trial Advocacy and passed the California Bar a year later. She worked with two of San Diego’s top attorneys prosecuting ​state and federal appeals, and Board of Immigration Appeals. She then followed her passion to Federal Defenders of San Diego, Inc. (FDSDI). After almost two years at FDSDI, Ms. Serrano moved to the Northern District of Texas where she worked as an Assistant Federal Public Defender for the Federal Judiciary handling a trial and selected appellate caseload. Her litigation covered bank robberies, child pornography, drug distribution, financial crimes, gun possession, illegal immigration, and more. Her success has led to dismissals in drug trafficking, child sex trafficking, theft of government funds, cash smuggling, illegal re-entry cases, and more.

Ms. Serrano developed a niche in her federal practice concentrating on forensic issues where her style of litigation ultimately impacted prosecutorial discretion within her district. She dedicated her career to public service trying cases within the federal forum and is now bringing that passion to the private sector. Her personalized approach to litigation is case specific and unique to each client. Ms. Serrano’s attorney-client relationship is rooted in professional and honest communication, and Ms. Serrano exists not only as an attorney but also as a trustworthy confidant for her clients. With her, clients will always know what to expect, and every step is an informed decision she will walk them through.

While handling a full trial case load, she has also been teaching trial skills since 2014 to Spanish-speaking practitioners from Central and South America.

In her free time, she goes back to her Puerto Rican roots and enjoys everything nature has to offer, feels at home near the ocean, and explores her surroundings with her rescue dog and cat.
